So we got rejected in our YC interview and that hurts a lot, but man has that stoked the fire to develop a successful product and build Complai into a behemoth of an Australian startup. We're going to come back to the S24 batch with a vengeance.
It was still absolutely surreal that we even got an interview offer and we've learned a ton from the process. I know that in 12-18 months we'll be orders of magnitude larger than where we are now. Those superlinear returns will start kicking in, I just know it.
We didn't get in because essentially they believed our niche is incorrect and the method of attacking it is flawed, however they did mention they think the space we're going into is great (because AI is incredibly hot right now), so we should consider focusing on a more generalised product. A part from that, we've got some rethinking to do and refine our strategy to continue bringing on new customers.
Really proud of all of us for getting to this point, as most people give up long before...
